According to doctor Renata Melo, there are several laser techniques for tattoo removal, and she uses one of the most modern and safe, the laser. “The light identifies the pigment in the skin and only targets it, preserving the other areas that are not tattooed,” she emphasizes. “There is a breakdown of the pigment molecules within the skin. Thus, removal can be done in a few sessions, depending on the size and color of the tattoo. Black and blue inks are easier to remove. Lighter colors, such as yellow and green, are more difficult,” she states.
