Compounding pharmacy delivers about 150 bottles of hand sanitizer to all hospitalized patients at HIMABA, including children and mothers from the maternity ward
Now more than ever, it is time to be supportive. Fortunately, many people from Espírito Santo have rolled up their sleeves to donate everything from food to essential products during this pandemic. In addition, many places have opened their doors to receive donations and help, as did the Instituto Gnosis, responsible for managing HIMABA, the Alzir Bernardino Alves Children's Hospital and Maternity in Vila Velha, which opened the doors of its branch to collect non-perishable food, bottled water, personal hygiene items, and the main preventive methods against the virus: masks and hand sanitizer.
One of the entrepreneurs who helped this week was pharmacist Márcio Mendes Mello, owner of the Vila Velha branch of Brazil's largest compounding pharmacy chain, Pharmapele. He donated individual mini bottles of hand sanitizer to all the children and mothers hospitalized at the hospital, around 150 patients. With all the care and safety required at this moment, he delivered the donations to the hospital, which were received by operational supervisor Renan Matteo.
