A solidarity event will be held by the You Flow Yoga studio and Track and Field with one goal: to raise money to help refugees supported by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the Federal University of Espírito Santo (Ufes). The program will take place on Saturday (20), starting at 8 a.m., and aims to celebrate two important dates: International Yoga Day (21) and International Refugee Day (20).
Participation in the event called “Us for Refugees” is free. Interested individuals need to register through the link tinyurl.com/nos-pelos-refugiados. “The broadcast is live. We ask that everyone contribute to the cause of refugees. R$10 already helps a lot,” said yoga instructor Flávia Monjardim.
According to her, there will be practical and theoretical classes on Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, Pranayama, and Ayurveda. There will also be moments like “Mindful eating” with nutritionist Bia Gáudio and a talk by Dr. Brunela Vincenzi about “The situation of refugees in ES.”
Additionally, Dr. Marcela Ulliana will speak a little about Ayurveda, and master Lerrita Rubinoff, directly from Canada, will share her experience in India 30 years ago. “There will also be a raffle of prizes and a children's program starting at 8:45 a.m., alongside the other activities offered,” Flávia added.
