On the first Friday of August, next on the 5th, International Beer Day is celebrated. This celebration began in California in 2007, with the intention of bringing friends together to drink good beers and recognizing the importance of breweries around the world.
To celebrate the date, producers and lovers of the drink from all places and cultures come together at the same time as a way to value the beloved beer.
According to MAPA - the Ministry of Agriculture and Supply - Espírito Santo is among the states that produce and consume the most craft beer, being a market that is constantly growing with brewing machines, interactive labels, and striking flavors.
Convento Brewery was founded in 2017 with the aim of being a company that operates comprehensively in the national brewing segment, with quality products represented by strong brands, with unique characteristics and proposals. The factory has a 350-liter steam brewing room and 20 fermenters ranging from 350 to 2,000 liters.
According to Léo Leal, one of the partners of Convento, the production of beer dates back to the medieval era, with accounts from 10,000 years ago, and to this day it is a drink admired and consumed all over the world, and over the years different flavors and styles have emerged. “We always seek to innovate the models of our beers, and our latest releases are Maria Ortiz, with lavender, Belgian Tripel, and Double IPA, etc.,” he states.
Beer is the third most consumed drink in the world, and it is gaining more and more space and recognition. “Beer has been reinventing itself, maintaining its main ingredients that ensure the appearance, flavor, and texture that are so distinctive,” highlights Leal.
The drink is known and famous all over the world, and in this journey, there are different ways to celebrate this day. Brazil, the United States, Argentina, Uruguay, Thailand, South Africa, Ireland, Australia, and Sweden are examples of countries that celebrate this date.
