The event is expected to have over 12,000 participants
At the Clube dos Estivadores in Serra – ES, the 9th edition of the Capixaba Medicine Games (JCM) is taking place, an annual event that has become a tradition for future health professionals in Espírito Santo. Organized by event entrepreneur Vagner Loppes, CEO of VL Boutique, the games started last Friday (17) and will run until May 26. With the participation of medical students from the main universities in Espírito Santo, including Unesc, Emescam, Multivix Vitória, Multivix Cachoeiro, UVV, and Ufes, the event is expected to gather more than two thousand people per day, totaling over 12,000 people over the six days of competition. The JCM includes the following sports: Basketball, Tug of War, Futsal, Soccer, Handball, Swimming, and Volleyball. The participating groups are called Atléticas, and each university has its own name. Producer Vagner Loppes emphasizes that the Capixaba Medicine Games are more than just a sports competition. "The JCM is a moment of integration, fellowship, and an opportunity for students from various medical institutions in the state to exchange experiences." Additionally, an important social initiative is planned to take place after the event, with the Atléticas from the medical schools joining forces to offer free medical services to the local community. "This solidarity action highlights the commitment of medical students to promote health and well-being in the population," emphasizes Vagner Loppes. The realization of the Capixaba Medicine Games at the Clube dos Estivadores not only brings together medical students from various institutions in Espírito Santo for a sports competition but also contributes to boosting the local economy and promoting community integration. "With the participation of over 12,000 people during the days of activities, the event not only generates temporary jobs in the hospitality, food, and transportation sectors but also stimulates the commerce in the Câmara neighborhood, thus contributing to the economic growth of the region," highlights Vagner Loppes.
