A Maple Bear Vila Velha celebrates another significant achievement in the international educational scene. 95 students from the school, from Y2 to Y8, were awarded at the Singapore Math Challenge (SMC) 2025, one of the most recognized mathematics competitions in the world, which encourages logical reasoning, problem-solving, and creativity among students. Among the students from Espírito Santo, there were achievements of gold, silver, bronze medals, and honorable mentions, reaffirming the school's commitment to academic excellence and comprehensive education. The awarded students were distributed as follows: 17 students from Y3, 20 from Y4, 20 from Y5, 25 from Y2, 2 from Y6, 3 from Y7, and 8 from Y8. The director of the Maple Bear Vila Velha unit, Juliana Camargo, highlighted the importance of this achievement for the entire school community: “This result is a source of great pride for us. It represents the effort, curiosity, and dedication of our students, combined with the careful work of the teachers and the encouragement of families. We believe that experiences like this strengthen the love for learning and prepare our students for even greater challenges.” Participation in the Singapore Math Challenge provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge in challenging contexts and develop critical thinking — values that are at the heart of Maple Bear's Canadian bilingual methodology. The school congratulates all the medalists and their families for their continuous support and celebrates this achievement as another step in building a solid and inspiring academic trajectory.
