Trio Virgulino and Trio Forrozão Come to ES for a Special Show at Arraiá do Mestre
The July festival at Shopping Mestre Álvaro will feature three days of unique programming, with a superstructure and free shows from great names in forró pé de serra from all over Brazil.
In July, forró enthusiasts can mark their calendars because Arraiá do Mestre will bring to ES two of the biggest forró pé de serra groups in Brazil. On July 5, 6, and 7, the July festival at Shopping Mestre Álvaro will feature a special program filled with lots of music, a food park, stalls with food, drinks, and typical games, a mechanical bull, a children's quadrilha, and much more. The national attractions that will take the stage in Espírito Santo and promise to get everyone dancing are Trio Virgulino, celebrating 43 years of career, Trio Forrozão, with hits that marked an era throughout Brazil, in addition to the local Trio Havengar, along with Fred from Macucos.
The Arraiá takes place at Pátio Mestre Álvaro, an outdoor area, from Friday to Sunday, from 5 PM to 10 PM, and it is free. On Friday (July 5), starting at 7:30 PM, Trio Virgulino will entertain the crowd with a repertoire full of the greatest hits of forró pé de serra, including "Preciso do Seu Sorriso", "Forró e Paixão", "Pequenininha", "Até Mais Ver", "Frevo Mulher", and "Forró do Rei". Formed by Adelmo Nascimento (triangle), Roberto Pinheiro (zabumba), and Robson Pinheiro (accordion), Trio Virgulino is known for its spontaneity and joy in their shows, which promises to infect the capixaba audience.
On Saturday (July 6), it will be Trio Forrozão's turn to take the stage. Their repertoire also includes well-known songs that have become classics of the genre, such as: "Pequenininha", "Espumas ao Vento", "Numa Sala de Reboco", "Sou o Estopim", and "Zé do Rock". The "Xote Capixaba" is also included, where the Trio pays tribute to Espírito Santo, highlighting the typical cuisine and the beauties of various places in ES, such as Itaúnas, Linhares, Iriri, Marataízes, Conceição da Barra, and Guarapari.
According to Nicodemos, the vocalist of the group who already knows the capixaba audience well, the expectation for the show at Shopping Mestre Álvaro is immense. "We are very excited for this moment. We are preparing a show with many hits from Trio Forrozão and also a lot of arrasta-pé. The capixaba audience has a lot of affection for us and we for you. It will be a memorable night," he emphasizes.
The party continues on Sunday, starting at 5 PM, with a children's quadrilha, which will be organized on the spot and is open for everyone to participate. Starting at 7:30 PM, Trio Havengar will be responsible for entertaining the last day of the event, in a special show alongside Fred, the vocalist of the band Macucos. Together, they will take the stage for a spectacular performance with some of the great hits of capixaba music, in addition to a lot of forró.
The marketing manager of Shopping Mestre Álvaro, Amanda Duque, explains that Arraiá do Mestre is already in its third edition and has become a traditional festival for the residents of Serra and the region. "We have noticed that we have already created a loyal audience for our arraiás, as we have sought over the years to create a great structure and bring the big names of forró pé de serra, who are very beloved attractions among capixabas. This time, with Trio Virgulino, Trio Forrozão, Trio Havengar, and Fred, we expect one of the biggest parties in ES. The Arraiá is an event to entertain all audiences with attractions for the whole family," she highlights.
