Vila Velha will host the largest collaborative creativity movement in the world, the World Creativity Day (WCD). Various free activities will be available for the public, who will have options ranging from panels, lectures, workshops to tours and performances for professionals, entrepreneurs, and companies that make up the creative economy. All this and much more will take place on April 19, 20, and 21, at Shopping Adventure Mall, Praia da Costa, and in other strategic locations in the municipality.
Anyone who wants to be part of this great gathering can participate as a volunteer, inspirer, or host. Registrations can be made until March 3, through the website https://worldcreativityday.com/brazil/vila-velha/home. Just access and follow the step-by-step instructions. “Volunteers are the people who will help organize the event, the hosts are the spaces that receive the activities, and the inspirers are all the speakers, panel participants, workshop facilitators, etc.”, explained Rodrigo Barbosa Santiago, the Creativity Strategist who leads and coordinates the entire WCD in the green-cinnamon municipality.
With the theme “Plural Intelligences”, the 2024 edition aims to broaden the discussion among public authorities, private initiatives, and civil society about the various intelligences and how creativity is embedded in this context. To facilitate these intentions, the Laboratório de Inovação Social Das Pretas, led by CEO Priscila Gama, is the event's maintainer.
“We are preparing activities to foster meetings of ideas that can later be translated into actions with the potential to change scenarios and realities. It will undoubtedly be a great moment for Vila Velha,” informed journalist, lawyer, and professor Mirella Bravo, co-leader of WCD. In addition to working on the organization of the event, she will speak on “Intentional Communication” and will conduct a workshop on brainstorming and idea generation.
Host of WCD, Luciana Roubach believes in the event's potential. According to her, “hosting World Creativity Day at Shopping Adventure Mall is an incredible initiative to highlight the importance of creativity. We also have the opportunity to promote various professionals from different fields related to various types of creation. The mall is a space for inspiration and creative possibilities,” she pointed out.
According to Lucas Foster, the initiative's creator and executive director of the World Organization of Creativity, "the purpose is to raise awareness worldwide about the value of creativity as raw material for problem-solving, inspiring people to build innovative projects, cities, and businesses, positively impacting communities.”

About World Creativity Day
Created in Brazil in 2014 by Lucas Foster, World Creativity Day became a global initiative in 2018, the year the United Nations approved Resolution 71/284, establishing April 21 as World Creativity and Innovation Day. Since then, more than 4,000 activities have been held in 146 cities across 22 countries with the participation of 80,000 people.
The movement is an initiative of the World Organization of Creativity, which operates globally to raise awareness among individuals, organizations, and governments about the value of creativity as raw material for problem-solving and, by extension, in sustainable social, technological, and economic development in our century.
