Formemus, a platform for the development of Brazilian and Capixaba music, launches the training initiative Formemus Lab Técnica, which will hold 3 workshops between March and May at Casa da Música Sônia Cabral in the Historic Center of Vitória, focusing on technical themes related to the production of a musical show. Registration for the Show Sound Introduction workshop is open on the website www.formemus.com.br. There will be 25 spots for each workshop, and selection will be made by Formemus's curatorial team.
Each training session is free and open to young and adult audiences aged 16 and above, interested in acquiring basic technical knowledge, with 80% of the spots reserved for women and LGBTQIAPN+ individuals. The workshops offered are: Introduction to Show Sound, Introduction to Stage Production (Roadie), and Introduction to Show Lighting.
The Technical Laboratory that Formemus intends to carry out meets a local and national demand for the need to expand technical professionals for live shows. In a professional artistic market where more and more women and LGBTQIAP+ individuals have their artistic protagonism valued and recognized in front of the stage, the same cannot be said for the technical areas involved in these musical presentations, which remain a challenge to be occupied by professionals of different genders.
The first workshop will be the Introduction to Show Sound, from March 4 to 7, with Ronald Igidio. The workshop will offer basic sound concepts for musical shows, involving both technical and practical aspects. From April 1 to 4, training focused on Stage Production - Roadie will be held with Rafael Eskerda, and from May 6 to 9, the Introduction to Show Lighting workshop will take place with André Stefson.
Each workshop will have 24 hours of content divided into 6-hour meetings. The mentors for each workshop were chosen for their ability to contribute their technical knowledge in a pedagogical, professional, and practical manner.
