Feeling frustration is a common experience for all of us, as it is part of life's journey. However, learning to deal with these issues and seek happiness is a continuous and individual process. In the book by psychologist Paulo Kleber, "Be Happier by Healing Your Frustrations," released at the end of October during a workshop held at Praia da Costa in Vila Velha, the author provides tips on how to face problems and achieve a fuller life. For Sandra Alice Barbosa Dias Paiva, the knowledge gained from the workshop was very valuable for her self-awareness. Now it's time to put it into practice. "We need to accept ourselves, recognize the problems before making the necessary changes," she noted. Psychology student Roberta Fonseca Fernandes, who came from Maricá, RJ, for the event, revealed that participating in such a unique moment in Paulo Kleber's career was very important. "I have known Paulo for some time, as he was the professional I chose to attend to my daughter in Maricá when I moved to RJ. And since finding a psychology professional with whom there is identification is so difficult, I decided to continue the sessions online when he moved to ES, because I saw significant progress in her," she shared. "I was very pleased with the interactions from the audience present at the event," declared the author. "The seed has been planted. We all want to be happy, and there is only one way: to access ourselves. This workshop was one of the tools to start this process, this internal meeting," he said. According to Paulo, the workshop was just the first step. It is necessary to continue the journey with therapy, meditation, self-care, among others. "Remember that being happy does not mean eliminating all frustrations from life, but knowing how to deal with them wisely," he concluded.

Here are some tips to help heal frustrations and cultivate a happier life: 1. Recognize and accept: The first step to overcoming frustration is to recognize and accept that it is part of life. Avoiding or denying frustration will only prolong the feeling. Instead, allow yourself to feel, understanding that it is a temporary emotion. 2. Reflect and learn: Instead of dwelling on frustration, take some time to reflect on the situation and learn from it. Ask yourself what can be done differently in the future, evaluate your expectations, and adjust them if necessary. 3. Practice gratitude: Gratitude is a powerful tool for cultivating happiness. Focusing on the positive aspects of life helps shift the focus from frustrations to the blessings we already have. Every day, make a mental or written list of the things you are grateful for. 4. Take care of yourself: Take time to care for yourself physically and emotionally. Exercise, meditate, get enough sleep, and eat well. Invest in activities that bring you joy and relaxation, such as hobbies, outdoor outings, or quality time with friends and family. 5. Set realistic goals: Many frustrations arise when our expectations are unrealistic. Set realistic and achievable goals by breaking them down into smaller steps. Celebrating small victories along the way will keep you motivated and prevent feelings of frustration. 6. Seek support: Don't be afraid to seek help and share your frustrations with friends, family, or professionals. Sometimes, just talking about what is bothering you can lighten the emotional load. 7. Practice forgiveness: Resentment and hurt can be ongoing sources of frustration and unhappiness. Practice forgiveness, both for yourself and others. Forgiving does not mean forgetting, but rather releasing the emotional weight that frustration carries. 2nd edition The 2nd edition of the workshop, with the same theme, is scheduled to take place on 01/13/2024.
