Dr. Ana Paula Pandolfi, pediatrician and partner at Florescer Kids Mais, a clinic specialized in neuro rehabilitation located in Praia da Costa, Vila Velha, recently participated in the 16th Brazilian Congress on Adolescence in Rio de Janeiro, an event of great importance in the area of health and development of adolescents in Brazil. The congress brought together professionals and specialists from various fields, such as medicine, psychology, education, and social assistance, with the aim of discussing and sharing knowledge about the challenges and care related to this stage of life.
During the congress, various relevant topics were addressed, such as mental health, sexuality, disease prevention, education, among others. In addition, the Congress promoted the discussion and dissemination of knowledge to improve the quality of care and services offered to adolescents. This exchange of information and experiences contributed to the advancement of the field and the promotion of a healthy and successful adolescence.
According to Dr. Ana Paula, adolescent health needs to be cared for as one would care for a car, with constant maintenance. "The adolescent doctor cares for a phase that is in constant transformation, from a body that is taking shape, with the much-talked-about puberty, to intellectual, spiritual, and emotional issues, as there are triggers that begin and end in adolescence. Some in their ideal timeline, others need correction and can have solutions. Every day lost on the wrong path increases the chance of failure in treatment!" she warned.
