Consultant, financial educator, and writer Paulo Costa will hold a lecture on 'Moneyphobia' on November 14 at 7 PM at the Agostiniano Educational Center in Vitória. During the event, the author will also be signing his latest book, which also addresses this topic. The event will be aimed at high school students and all parents of students at the school.
According to Costa, Moneyphobia is a behavioral disorder that manifests as the fear of having, losing, or gaining money. 'A devastating phenomenon that has prevented millions of people around the world from achieving a dignified, financially independent, and emotionally strong life,' he said.
'Money has always been an instrument that evokes the most diverse human sensations such as: joy, gratitude, solution, insomnia, discord, contempt, consideration, dispute, guilt, merit, anxiety, envy, pride, and success. It is necessary to name these sensations because in one or another of them, we identify ourselves perfectly. We just don’t realize the degree of interference they have on us when we feel or practice them. Therefore, learning to deal with money is challenging; it makes us discover ourselves, in an undeniable belief: we are not capable of seeking solutions on our own, even when they are within us,' he noted.
