FAESA students took first place in the national stage of Expocom
Capixaba communication was once again a national highlight. FAESA Advertising and Propaganda students Evellyn Aparecida de Souza Silva and Victória de Sousa Rosa won first place in the Poster category at the national stage of Expocom, the award dedicated to the best experimental productions by students in the field of communication. The event took place last week in Belo Horizonte, at PUC Minas, and brought great results for ES.
Competing with students from all over Brazil, the award-winning students developed the work “Brasis Apagados: Quem não é visto, precisa ser lembrado,” under the guidance of Professor Roger de Seta. The project tells and values the history of important Black figures in Brazil's history who have suffered historical erasure. For Evellyn Aparecida de Souza Silva, the award is a source of great pride for the duo. “It is very gratifying for us to win the award with this incredible work, which we are proud to have accomplished, as it confirms that it is possible to practice our profession based on our values, contributing to society. The recognition assures us that we are on the right path,” highlights the student.
The guiding professor, Roger de Seta, emphasized the relevance of the idea presented by the students. “The work proposed by the students addresses a very important social theme, crafted with great sensitivity and with the concern to use advertising to promote historically erased figures in Brazil. The award is the result of much dedication and brings an important achievement for communication in ES in front of all of Brazil.”
For the coordinator of the Journalism and Advertising and Propaganda course at FAESA, Marilene Mattos, the result is the fruit of collective work that puts ES in the spotlight. “Achievements like this are the result of both the excellence of our students and the dedication of our faculty, who support this learning journey with their academic and market experience,” she emphasizes.
