There will be more than 40 exhibitors from various niches, uniting culture, female empowerment, and sustainability, in an event that takes place in the courtyard of Shopping Mestre Álvaro.
The female entrepreneurial movement has stood out as a force, driving women-led businesses. The 2nd Ecological Fair of Women Entrepreneurs (FEME) is an example of this, with the next edition taking place on September 2 and 3, Saturday from 10 AM to 10 PM and Sunday from 12 PM to 9 PM, in the courtyard of Shopping Mestre Álvaro, in Serra.
There will be two days with ecological workshops, yoga, music, and entertainment for the whole family, a DJ, and forró shows, among other activities, in addition to more than 40 booths featuring a wide variety of products, most of which are handmade, such as clothing, bags, crochet, sweets, jams, essential oils, thrift store items, recycled paper products, from tags, badges, to various products like planners, invitations, among others. Cosmetics with a cruelty-free approach (not tested on animals during the development and manufacturing process), with recyclable packaging made of HDPE, crafts made from recycled cement, footwear made from recycled tires, and much more.
In terms of music, on Saturday there will be Batuque Delas starting at 6 PM, and on Sunday there will be live music with Amanda Requião at 6 PM. During the breaks between shows, DJ Ítala Venâncio will be in charge of the turntables. For children, the programming on both days, starting at 2 PM, includes a Kokedama workshop with the Holambelo team; a children's arts workshop, slime, board games, and a spa for girls.
The event organizer, Crystal Araújo Vasconcellos, a production engineer who reinvented herself during the pandemic and motherhood, joined forces with other women with the same entrepreneurial goals and brought FEME to life. "The project plays a fundamental role in fostering the solidarity economy by boosting the production of small entrepreneurs, and this edition received important support from Jacqueline Moraes, State Secretary for Women's Policies, contributing the necessary resources to bring the event to life, helping to promote ecological awareness and more women to showcase their work, as many are single mothers, housewives looking for extra income, others were going through an abusive relationship and needed empowerment to free themselves," explains Crystal.
The marketing manager of Shopping Mestre Álvaro, Amanda Duque, highlights that the project brings with it the shine of female talent with extraordinary products. "I believe that through good partnerships and incentives, events like this provide valuable growth opportunities for these micro-entrepreneurs," she says.
