FAESA's Agronomy Course Holds Cocoa Field Day in Linhares

The free training takes place on August 26 and is open for registration     Espírito Santo is the 3rd largest cocoa producer in Brazil, and the city of Linhares concentrates the largest production in the state. On August 26, the producers involved in the activity will have the opportunity to participate for free in a morning of training, with workshops and lectures on sustainable cocoa management, at Fazenda Ilha do Barão, in Linhares. The Field Day is an initiative of FAESA's Agronomy course, along with the Research and Extension Center (CEPE) of the institution, in partnership with the Foundation for Research and Innovation Support (Fapes), and support from partner companies in the region.     In total, there will be 150 spots available for the training, with free registration that can already be made on FAESA's website, at the address: https://forms.gle/evaqnETwbt9MHupD9. The program starts at 8:30 AM on Saturday (26), with practical and theoretical activities, focusing mainly on sustainable cultivation techniques of the fruit. Renan Queiroz, coordinator of FAESA's Agronomy course, explains about the content to be covered: "The idea is to bring new knowledge to these professionals who are engaged in cocoa farming that contribute to the implementation of more productive crops while preserving environmental resources through sustainable techniques."   The Agro FAESA Field Day is the third edition of a project aimed at training farmers and rural producers in Espírito Santo by presenting innovations that contribute to increasing productivity and profitability of crops. The first edition of the event took place in Jaguaré, focusing on coffee cultivation, the second in Sooretama, about black pepper, and now Linhares hosts the Cocoa Field Day.     The coordinator of FAESA's Agronomy course explains that the idea is to travel across the state with training in at least five different locations. "These are important topics in the production chain, especially here in Northern Espírito Santo.
