Businessmen collect basic food baskets for needy families

Businessmen collect basic food baskets for needy families Donations for the Solidariedade Capixaba project can be made via PicPay or delivered at Audi Center Vitória Going through this period of social isolation – due to the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus (Covid-19) – is not easy for many people. But it is even more complicated to face this moment while going through some type of financial difficulty and not having food to offer to your family. With this in mind, entrepreneurs Renato Bello and Netto Soares, from Motor Group Vitória, joined forces to create the Solidariedade Capixaba campaign, which involves companies from various sectors to help alleviate the hardships faced by many families. The project already has the partnership of Comprocard, Supermercados Carone, Universidade Vila Velha (UVV), Rádio Cidade, and Elo Comunicação. At this early stage, about two tons of materials for donation have already been collected, including basic food baskets and hygiene and cleaning products, which will be distributed to needy families in the municipalities of Vila Velha, Vitória, Cariacica, and Serra. The group's goal is to collect ten tons of donations by the end of this action, which would be enough to assist approximately one thousand families. The campaign's creator, entrepreneur Renato Bello, explains that Catholic and evangelical churches are helping to compile the list of people in need of assistance, and distribution should begin later this week. "We need to act more with our hearts and think about those who are being most impacted at this moment, like people who are fighting for their daily sustenance," he reflects. Anyone wishing to contribute to the project can make a donation of any amount via PicPay to the profile Solidariedade Capixaba or deliver it at Audi Center Vitória, located at Reta da Penha.
