The festivities are approaching, and there's nothing better than enjoying them while remembering to protect your skin! Dr. Renata Melo warns: "Excessive sun, sweat, and makeup can cause irritations and even accelerate skin aging. Small care makes all the difference in maintaining the health and glow of your skin during Carnival."
1- Hydration is everything!
Drink plenty of water before, during, and after the festivities. This helps prevent outbreaks and keeps your skin healthy.
2- Balanced diet
Opt for light and nutritious meals, such as salads, vegetables, pasta, and lean meats. These foods provide energy and prevent gastrointestinal discomfort.
3- Always use sunscreen!
Apply a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher and reapply every two hours. If possible, choose physical sunscreens, which adhere better to the skin and provide longer protection.
4- Advance protection
Apply sunscreen 30 minutes before leaving home to ensure maximum effectiveness.
5- Protective clothing
Make use of hats and clothing with UV protection factor to avoid sunburn and heatstroke.
6- Don't forget exposed areas
Your neck, ears, hands, and feet also need sun protection!
7- Be careful with citrus fruits!
Avoid direct contact of the skin with lemon, tangerine, and cashew drinks and popsicles, as they can cause stains and burns under the sun.
8- Pay attention to makeup
Check the expiration dates of products, especially those containing glitter, to avoid allergies.
9- Gently remove makeup
No scrubbing your face! The doctor recommends: The ideal is to use oily makeup removers, such as cleansing oil or biphasic micellar water. Let it sit for a few minutes before removing, to avoid irritations.
10- Take care of your skin between the parties
Invest in masks and moisturizers to recover your skin and maintain fluid intake to balance hydration.
